We are working in partnership with an indigenous, commercial law firm, to recruit a Senior Employment Solicitor. The remit of the Senior Solicitor (Or Senior Partner) will be to eventually grow out an employment law practice area with the support of its current Directors. This firm has already demonstrated through its high profile client base and calibre of work, that it can mix it up with the larger corporate commercial players, and still offer its staff a healthy work life balance. They have an ambitious growth path ahead and have already attracted some highly experienced local solicitors to join them in their journey. Part of their growth story to date has been rapid expansion into some corporate and commercial practice areas. They are now looking to offer their clients a complete employment law service. This is an area which could grow significantly quicker under the direction of a local Senior employment solicitor (or senior Partner) with knowledge of the local legal landscape.
What will you be responsible for?
You will have responsibility for your own practice area development and enjoy a lot of autonomy within an overall framework of office support. You will be most successful in maximising your network to attract new business where possible and to provide a high class service to all their clients. You will.
Typical Employment caseload within the practice currently, includes corporate support, tribunal work and a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters. You will be able to count a diverse client network consisting of corporate clients from Top 100 companies to property developers, High net worth individuals and local SME’s amongst your new contacts.
Essential experience required
- NI solicitor or relevant jurisdiction qualified
- 8+ years’ experience within an employment solicitor role
- Experienced in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters preferable
- Excellent People management skills
- Corporate or commercial experience is useful but not essential
