Head of Employment Law – 8+ PQE Belfast – specialist Employment & Litigation Regional firm – c£65,000-£77, 000 including company car and enhanced benefits
No corporate support. A mix of contentious and non-contentious advisory work. Representing Trade Unions. Conducting employment cases from merit assessment to tribunal advocacy. Heading up a small team of junior lawyers and support staff.
We also have a requirement for an employment solicitor with another major commercial firm for a junior level 1-3 PQE (claimant experience) and a 5 PQE associate solicitor or senior associate with employer/respondent experience. Principal Personal Injury Lawyer 8+ PQE – Belfast – Regional firm – PI/EL/PL mainly
We are looking for a seasoned PI litigator and someone with direct people management experience to head up an established PI team consisting of senior solicitors, junior solicitors and legal executives. You will have direct strategic involvement in the running of the office and will liaise with GB senior partners regularly. Progression pathway to equity available.
Junior PI litigation solicitor – 1-3 year PQE – Belfast City centre firm – £27,000-£37,000 plus enhanced benefits package including hybrid working, pension contribution, life assurance and enhanced maternity and paternity leave policies.
Experienced must’ve been gathered in a litigation-specific role, ideally, plaintiff but defence experience considered. Candidates should have direct knowledge and application of the civil procedure rules and of running a caseload from start to finish.
Litigation solicitor with Clinical negligence – 4+PQE – High street firm – £Negotiable doe – pathway to partnership available
Experience should include full plaintiff civil litigation background. Ideally, some clinical negligence experience is desired but not required. Specialist firm of personal injury solicitors with a growing caseload.
Criminal solicitor – All PQE considered for a well-known Belfast firm with an opportunity to progress to Directorship open. Requires experience dealing with PACE, LAMS and advocacy in courts. Salary top of the market for criminal lawyers with generous Bonus structure also. Ability to work part-time or hybrid from home available.
Head of family and matrimonial law – 5+ PQE solicitor – Belfast practice – c150-200 mixed files of children’s order matters, public law matters, divorce and AR and private paying clients. The firm are looking to move away from a counsel-led practice to a proactive solicitor-based one. Salary is entirely negotiable doe but for non-director level, max is typically around £65k plus bonus. Particular interest and greater financial incentives are available if there is an existing client following. But that is not essential.
Paralegal / Legal Researcher – LLB Grads or future trainee solicitors /BL – A well-known specialist international commercial and personal litigation practice based in City Centre. There are active openings in established corporate firms that are looking to bolster their teams or succession plan by bringing in senior-level candidates. Junior solicitors can leverage their corporate training to secure key roles on partner led teams that will give them access to cross-jurisdictional work of a high value and help them carve out careers in this specialist and always-in-demand area. Senior practitioners don’t necessarily have to have any client followings or onerous networking requirements as there is an abundance of work already flowing into some firms. Some clients have the ability to integrate Senior lawyers into existing directorships or offer lucrative consultancy terms and bonuses to operate as an in-house corporate advisor effectively and in some cases double their earning potential. Real Estate lawyers – 2-10 PQE – Multiple firms of varying sizes from SME’s to global legal companies – For 2 year PQE salary can start at £43k with one client in particular. Senior lawyers with commercial firm experience are also in demand and can attract market-leading salaries too. Remote or hybrid working is available and one client is able to offer an ability to work almost entirely remotely or via a hot desk option in Belfast or other NI-based location. Big-ticket real estate experience is essential for senior role and no requirement to bring in work.
Legal Secretaries – Multiple roles in commercial firms paying circa £25,000-£33,500 – Particular areas of experience in demand include litigation, PI or (medical negligence), corporate or banking and conveyancing (residential and commercial).
