Your New Role
As a Commercial Contracts Solicitor within this relatively new, technology and data-led contracts legal team, you will enjoy working for a wide range of clients including Tier-1 Global Investment Banks and corporate clients. As such, you will be exposed to high quality and complex commercial contracts including IP/IT, software agreements, regulatory agreements and derivatives documentation.
What type of person are we looking for?
Harmony and good team dynamics are important to be successful in this role and you should therefore present with excellent personal communication and team working skills, a proven ability to work to a high standard and some flexibility to travel for an overnight stay if required.
This role will suit you if you have experience either from Private Practice in a commercial law firm or from an in house role exposing you to the Financial Services/Investment Banking sector.
Essentially, you must be a Qualified Solicitor/Barrister/Attorney/FCILEX of at least 2 years PQE with a sound commercial contract or derivatives background ideally (we may consider NQ-2 years PQE if particular strength in contracts/financial services or IP/IT law is demonstrated).
- Previous exposure to the Financial Services/Investment Banking sector will be highly desirable as will language fluency in Spanish, German or French.
- A good working knowledge of derivatives or loan documentation, particularly the ISDA & CSA and/or GMRA/GMSLA is ideal as is a sound understanding of the present and upcoming regulatory challenges affecting the financial services sector.
