Signatus are representing a technology-driven legal department who operate within one of the most recognisable professional consultancy services firms in the UK. They are seeking to recruit an experienced In House Lawyer who has a background in commercial contracts, either from an in house role or within an advisory position from private practice. Commercial exposure from a relevant secondment or solid regulatory and data privacy experience would be advantageous for Junior lawyers. There are multiple roles available at mid to Senior level and salary level quoted is a guide only as there is scope for greater flexibility depending on the experience of the lawyer.
My new role
As an In House lawyer, you will sit within the commercial legal and regulatory team advising, drafting, negotiating and assisting in the formation of commercial advices to clients, on a project by project basis. You will have the responsibility of maintaining commercial contract templates, databases and libraries and helping to organise the knowledge hub within the legal department. Additionally, you will be exposed to deal-making across the SME, government and public sectors and therefore prior commercial experience from within a technology, Cloud software or managed services environment is highly desirable.
Types of contracts you may be exposed to include software, licensing, cloud, IOT, IP/IT agreements, recurring revenue models and general commercial contracts.
This is a varied and broad role that will offer the In House lawyer a chance to develop skillsets and experience across multiple jurisdictions and be involved in cutting-edge legal contracts. The team have vast resources available to them across the group structure and work collaboratively with other offices to provide a full spectrum service offering to clients.
What do I need to offer?
You will be a qualified lawyer with c3+ years PQE within a commercial role or a senior solicitor either in house or within private practice with experience spanning technology, software agreements, IP/IT, data privacy and regulatory matters.
