Signatus are working in partnership with a financial services company to recruit a 2-5 PQE Property Solicitor to manage their small legal department. Your new role
The Banking, Finance, Restructuring Solicitor will assume the role of Legal Manager reporting directly into the Head of Legal for the Dublin and Belfast office. They will work with a team of In house solicitors providing legal services to a portfolio of international clients across Banking and Litigation platforms. Solicitors with relevant In house or Commercial environment experience in addition to their private practice background, will be of particular interest.
As Legal Manager, you will be required to effectively manage a team of 2 paralegals, a trainee and a panel of seconded solicitors.
In adopting to a fast paced and fast changing environment, you will have to quickly develop relationships with experienced senior management team and sometimes deal with demanding clients and pending deadlines. Coolness under pressure and an ability to thrive in a pressurised, fast-paced environment are essential qualities to have.
You will act as a main point of escalation for complex or difficult issues raised by your team or third parties. As well as playing a key role in the formation of legal strategy, you will also be given responsibility for liaising with and presenting business critical information, directly to the client.
What you can bring to the table?
- You will ideally be a qualified NI solicitor between 2-5 years PQE (other levels may be explored provided the salary expectations are in line).
- You are a competent Solicitor with technical expertise in either a Banking, Finance or Restructuring role previously/currently.
- You will have a background in private practice and are potentially frustrated with your lack of advancement
- You may have some managerial experience of trainees or paralegals or prior to embarking on your legal career
- You are confident in yourself and your technical abilities and confident building relationships with senior stakeholders.
- You will be highly proficient with MS Excel and Word and will have excellent organisational skills.
- You have a desire to work and build a career outside of legal practice
- You can handle pressure and work in a fast paced environment, juggling competing demands simultaneously
Your reward
A truly market leading and unparalleled remuneration and advancement package is on offer for the successful solicitor starting at £45,000 -£50,000 potentially, plus 10% Bonus, for a 2-5 yr PQE.
