Signatus are pleased to be working with a Major global Insurance company who are in a strong period of growth to recruit Risk Management Consultant into their Belfast office. Your role as a Risk Management consultant is a hands on, client facing role requiring flexibility to travel to client sites and ability to both assess risk and make commercial recommendations to the client. This role is ideally suited to either a seasoned insurance professional or someone with c3+ years’ prior experience in a similar role.

Your new role

The function of the Risk management consultant within the context of our clients business model, is to advise clients/prospects on the potential risks to their organisation. These risks may be in relation to employees, customers, reputation, assets, interests of stakeholders and in respect of any other areas within the risk management field. You will also;

  • Plan, design and implement an overall risk management solution.
  • Advise clients/prospects on relevant Health and Safety legislation and review their compliance.
  • Plan, design and implement an overall risk management solution for our clients/prospects.
  • Dovetail activities with insurance broking colleagues as part of a rounded product/service offering.

What can you bring?

  • NEBOSH Certificate or degree qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a health and safety role either as a consultant or within industry.
  • Comprehensive risk management knowledge.
  • Computer literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft office, Word and Excel systems.
  • Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels using a variety of media.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Highly motivated and result-focused.
  • Insurance industry experience highly relevant
  • Good commercial awareness.
