Junior Asset Manager
Your new career opportunity
If you ever wondered what it was like being in a faster-paced role, enjoying lots of responsibilities at an early stage in your career and being a truly integral part of a team, then this Junior Asset Manager position may be the one for you. Our financial services client are growing and bringing on new workstreams within UK and Ireland. They are very active locally in the market and promote a culture of meritocracy, collaboration and teamwork that will suit ambitious and outgoing personalities.
What will it involve?
In your new role as junior asset manager for this global PLC, you will be responsible for assisting Senior’s to manage their portfolios of borrowers, engaging with their clients and helping them to meet their objectives (maximising collections on a property portfolio) within strict timeframes.
As well as general administrative management, you will be responsible for ensuring all Management Information systems are kept up to date and accurate at all times. This will assist the delivery of accurate and robust MI to the client for decision making and strategic planning purposes.
You will be in regular communication with various third parties (including sales agents, prospective property purchasers, and their respective solicitors) to gather and record Anti-Money Laundering documentation and to ensure proper security realisation of assets.
What would make me more appealing to this role?
If you have a 2:1 degree in business management, property management, finance, legal or other relevant discipline and are proficient in the use of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups etc) you will be of interest.
Any experience you can offer in reviewing loan documentation (facility letters, mortgage documents, credit analysis papers) or handling cases through the insolvency process, will be of high interest.
As there is a significant ‘people-facing’ element to the role, it will suit someone who has the ability to liaise with and build relationships easily and quickly, both internally with senior managers, and externally with borrowers, advisors, accountants and solicitors. Someone who is able to take direction from seniors but who knows when to ‘push-back’ will likely thrive in this role.
What can I expect in return?
A high salary dependant on experience coupled with a unique learning experience giving you a grounding in asset management and equipping you with the skillsets to pursue a career in this area (and company, if you wish). You will join an established team in a growing company that are socially active and encourage involvement in CSR events.
