Our client are a local insurance brokerage firm with one of the strongest client bases to offer with access to more markets across the island of Ireland than most other firms. Backed by a highly successful regional insurance company, they have developed very ambitious growth plans for the next 3-5 years which will see them grow further organically within that time frame. Therefore, it is an opportune time to come on board if you are looking for a faster, more lucrative career development track.
As part of their strategic growth, they are interested in recruiting a number of successful account executives into their commercial team. There are opportunities at all ends of the spectrum for motivated account executives who may recently have developed into their roles and may not yet have amassed a lot of client facing experience. Or alternatively, you may be an accomplished account executive who is confident in their ability to grow the insurance book further and can potentially offer new markets or new clients for them to do business with. Either way, our client is open on experience level and able to tailor customised benefits and salary packages according to the scope of your role and your experience level.
There is an in built flexibility within the role that allows for a large degree of autonomy, remote working and minimum office attendance. This will suit busy account executives who prefer to be on the road or client facing but will also suit the ‘Desktop Account Executive’ who is comfortable in a more indirect client facing role to begin with.
What can I offer?
It is essential that you have commercial experience from a broking environment.
Ideally a minimum of 1-3 years in an Account Executive role or someone who has recently transitioned into an AE role. We will also look for the following in our applicants:
- Proven track record of delivering high levels of customer service
- Computer literate, with knowledge of insurance systems
- Full clean driving licence
- Professional qualification – be in possession of or working towards professional qualifications
- Interpersonal / Communication skills
- Strong trading skills
- Strong organisational and negotiation skills

As an account executive, you will be welcomed into the small team and will work closely and be supported by the senior management team, commercial handler’s other executives and admin staff.
As an experienced Account Executive, you will be working closely with the senior leadership team in order to drive organic growth. You’ll have access to a wide range of established Insurers and the team you will be working with are very well connected in the market and have strong relationships in place with their client base. This means they receive many referrals and new business enquiries, both directly and via introducers.
