Signatus are recruiting a Head of Family and Matrimonial solicitor for our client based in Belfast city centre. The firm are well established in the family, criminal and litigation courts as specialists and there is an existing high level of crossover work from each department. There is a direct progression path to Director from Associate or Senior associate level. Or alternatively, there is a willingness from the existing Directors to discuss options of bringing a senior solicitor in who is already operating at a similar level in their current firm.
All About You
Ideally you will be a NI Qualified solicitor, with c4+ years PQE.
Ideally, the solicitor will be a member of the Children’s Order Panel and have an established name within the family & and matrimonial proceedings courts throughout the jurisdiction. an ability to handle a varied caseload of children’s order proceedings, article 8 applications, ex parte motions and matrimonial and ancillary relief files is a must. There is a mix of Legally Aided and Private paying clients within the firm’s clientele and experience in both is welcomed but not essential.

For a more junior solicitor, there will still be an interest provided you have worked in a family-oriented role for 2-3 years and want to establish a long-term career in this area.
